"The Barbershop Live" Trim, cut and shave to save the day.

Hello, my name is Angel and I am a master barber in the New York metropolitan area. I am seeking funding to open a free, non-profit barbershop. I've been in the male grooming sector for over 20 years and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that every man is the best version of themselves after a good haircut & shave.

The best in me believes that if we spill more hair on the ground, instead of blood, the world won't look so 'hairy'. I'm going to find out, and if you can spare a dime, I vow that all donations will go toward the formation and launching of the barbershop.

At first, the funds will go towards the 'red-tape', meaning, requesting permission and registering with all the various government agencies and municipalities. I just downgraded from full-time to part-time work because although the first step isn't that time-consuming, the second step is. The locating and renovating of a location once we find it will probably be costly because of the requirements needed to operate a healthy barbershop: plumbing, lighting, etc. Luckily, the tri-state area has an abundance of already built-out barbershops, so keeping construction costs to a minimum should be easier said than done, but done nonetheless.

Lots of times, people just need a shoulder or an ear to lean on. It's just that us guys find it difficult to find someone when in need or find the words in general, so anger arises. Barbering saved my life and countless other men that couldn't get to the bar or the shrink. I want to build a world where if the stool or the couch is taken, the barber chair is always open.
