Moose’s surgery fund

Hi, i’m Moose but I also go by moose butt, pretty boy, and dummy. I will be three the day before halloween. I am the quirkiest dog you’ll ever meet. I love to scream when I yawns, wiggle my butt at any excitement, give t-rex hugs, eat apples out of your hand, and so much more that I could tell you about for hours. My mom and dad tell me i’m everything to them and they love to tell me that their love will make me immortal. But unfortunately, love can’t fix everything. On October 22 I started acting funnier than normal. I hid in the bathroom and seemed to have grown a watermelon in my belly. Thanks to grandma who caught it quickly, mom and dad and grandma rushed me to the emergency vet where they gave my people the grave news that my stomach had flipped. This required an emergency surgery that cost $8K deposit. And that doesn’t even include my aftercare or any other expenses that will be added after the surgery. They maxed out a few credit cards and by some miracle they were able to pay it (kinda). After the surgery they were overjoyed to have their baby back. They checked in on me frequently- annoying the death out of the veterinarians but they didn’t seem to mind. My recovery was steady and they were told they could take me home the next evening. To everyone’s sadness, my health took a turn for the worst. I had an abundance of fluid building in my belly and the Veterinarians believed that there was necrotic tissue that they had to cut out. This required another emergency surgery which amounted to an additional $3.5k. Luckily my parents still had a credit of about $2k on our account but that was an additional $1500 out of pocket. I know that they never want to ask for help or dare to ever ask for something so valuable as money but the bill is extensive. Mom, Joely, is a full time pre-nursing student with a part time job. She saves like an old man scared of the banks (except when I beg her for a pup cup) but between textbooks and gas and other expenses 9.5k+ is a huge price. Dad, Cole, too is a full time student with a part time job. They know what it means to be hard working and understand the value of a dollar. That’s why it’s such a hard ask for them. But even so, they want to make sure that I can get the care I need. Any penny helps. We are so grateful for anything we receive and we are already overwhelmed with all of the support we have been bless with. The bond us fur babies and people share is truly remarkable. Thank you for everything!
