On August 15, 2019, Carrie was bit twice, once on each ankle, by a copperhead snake. She was transported to Washington Regional by ambulance and spent a day in the ICU. This GoFundMe hopes to alleviate the financial burden of her recovery, covering their 5K deductible.
Chris, Carrie and their 3 girls have been living in a camper on their land since February 2017 and continue to face financial setbacks in building their home.
Carrie is unable to return to the camper and will live with her sister's family as she will have to remain sedentary for some time. It is unknown at this time how long Carrie's recovery will be.
