The Maycock Family needs your help

Hi - we are a group of friends of the Maycock Family - Adrian, Mel and their two beautiful children who are Torquay locals. A more generous and tight knit family you won't meet - always volunteering at the local sports clubs and giving back to the community in many different ways yet right now they are facing an ever mounting challenge.

Adrian has been battling severe health issues for a number of years and has unfortunately culminated in a nasty storm of challenges. Over the past 10 months he's been admitted to hospital 10 times. He's endured multiple surgeries, ICU admissions and has spent much more time in hospital than at home. With this comes an inability to work consistently and coupled with mounting medical expenses, their financial situation has been hugely impacted. Mel has been working full time while ferrying Adrian to and from medical appointments and doing her absolute best to support him and the family through the most difficult period in their lives.

The harsh reality is this - the bank waits for no one. The financial pressures of a mortgage and medical bills means there's a real chance they may have to sell their house. This stress can only negatively impact Adrian's recovery so for this reason we are coming together with the goal of removing the financial pressures currently facing this beautiful family.

We are all vulnerable and know this could happen to any of us - this is why we believe in that our community, both local and abroad can come together and donate money to allow the family to focus all of their energy on simply seeing Adrian recover. Raising $45,000 will see them remain in their family home, manage their medical expenses and allow them to look to the future and Adrians recovery.

It takes a lot of small steps to complete a marathon - the Maycock family are in for a very long race, They have come so far and now need our help to get them to the finish line. What ever amount, small or large, is going to make the biggest difference. As important as a donation is the sharing of their plight so if you could spread the word we know the family would be forever grateful.
