Casey needs surgery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Vivian Hash and my son, Casey Norton needs some help. Over three weeks ago he noticed that he had started to develop pain and swelling in his upper arm. The swelling then started to spread down the side of his chest. The pain made it very difficult to work and that is when he decided to see a doctor. He went to a local clinic but there was not much they could do for him besides prescribe antibiotics since they were unsure what was causing the pain and inflammation. The following day he went to the emergency room where they performed some scans and determined that the issue was with his lymph nodes. They were not equipped to deal with that type of issue so they referred him to a specialist. On Tuesday, November 16th, he visited the specialist who said that the area of inflammation was too large to drain and determined that Casey needed surgery. Although the doctor believes that what Casey has is a large bacterial infection, he did say that there’s a 50% chance that it is lymphoma. As you can imagine Casey is worried and frustrated. Complicating the entire matter is the fact that Casey does not currently have medical insurance. His beautiful wife, Lauren, started a new job recently and has not been there long enough to subscribe to a medical plan for Casey and herself. The surgery will cost $6,100 and Casey must pay $4,800 before his scheduled surgery on December 9th. Any donation amount will be so greatly appreciated. It will take two to three weeks to recover so if we exceed the goal, that money will help pay his bills since he will be unable to work until his arm heals. Casey has always been there for his family and friends and my hope is that we can all be there for him now. Please, keep Casey and Lauren in your prayers that we can raise the necessary funds and that they find he does not have lymphoma. Thank you so much!
