SAVE OUR ROOF APPEAL

The roof of our Bocce Hall is in urgent need of repair. The quote for repair is €23,000. The Club does not have money to pay for it, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Club has lost out on vital fundraising opportunities, rental income and membership subscriptions. With winter weather around the corner this is a very worrying situation and the future of our club facilities are in jeopardy.

A key milestone in the Club’s history was the purchase of its own permanent home Sluagh Hall, Cross Lane, in early 2014 and the official opening in November 2015. Over the years the Club has gone from strength to strength thanks to a dedicated and enthusiastic team of volunteers, tremendous fundraising efforts, support from local community, members’ families and the outstanding athletes we are lucky to call our own.

Sadly the Club recently lost a very dear volunteer who was the driving force behind the Club securing its home in Sluagh Hall – the repair to the roof and preservation of the hall for future generations of Special Olympic athletes would indeed be a lasting memorial to our dear friend.

We have 70+ amazing athletes who need this appeal to be a success. It is crucial we repair the roof.
