Layla's San Diego Gay Men's Chorus Fundraiser

Join me in support of the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus - an integral part of the San Diego artistic community and a dynamic force for social change.

I have been honored to serve on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Gay Men's Chorus for the last several years. During this time, I have seen firsthand the impact this organization has on our San Diego LGBTQIA+ community, as well as each individual chorus member and volunteer.

The San Diego Gay Men's Chorus' mission is to connect, inspire and challenge: our chorus members, by nurturing artistic and personal growth while building a musical family, our audiences, by broadening cultural awareness of important social issues and the bonds that unite us all, and our communities, by serving as a catalyst for individual and social transformation.

This chorus connects communities and provides a haven for all while never shying away from social activism. The SDGMC is an organization fiercely devoted to keeping up with a changing world. We are constantly working on being more inclusive and more outspoken in our support for marginalized communities. The SDGMC has given me a platform to speak on issues such as the overturning of Roe V. Wade, and it’s a privilege that I and the chorus do not take lightly.
