Family devastated by fire
Donation protected
Last night Michael & Dorothy Wolff (Amanda's parents) lost their home in a terrible house fire. They had opened their home to Amanda's sister Valerie, she aresided there with her 6 children. The children range from 17 years old and the baby turns 1 in 4 days.
Everyone else is doing okay, but Michael has to be carried out of the home as he was unable to walk due to the smoke inhalation and his preexisting health conditions.
He was air lifted to a hospital 3 hours away to receive better care for his burns and the inhalation. Over 50% of his body sustained 3rd degree burns. His prognosis is critical at this point and the family was told to pray for a miracle.
There is nothing that was salvageable and unfortunately they had no insurance.
We know that it's a tough time of the year to ask for help and with the rising costs of living it makes it that much harder. We wouldn't ask if there truly weren't a need. It's going to take a village to help them get on their feet.
The funding will go to Mike's hospital expenses, the travel costs to and from, acquiring new housing, clothing and basic needs for the entire family.
Nothing is too small and ever dollar adds up, we are grateful for anything that you can contribute.
Donations for immediate necessities have come by the bag fulls today and we can't thank you enough for what you've already done.
We're grateful for you all and ask that you continue to pray. Pray for a miracle, direction and strength as they begin to navigate through this tragedy.
