Help our Mama Fidela Mijos Come Home

Our Mama, Fidela Mijos fell suddenly ill from a heart attack on Dec 23, 2018. She is also battling infection, diabetes, and high blood pressure.  She is currently residing in a Bohol, a small town in the Philippines, where medical care is inadequate. We had to make a decision and transport her to a larger city.  In her fragile state, she had to be transferred by ferry 2 hrs away in hopes for better diagnosis and treatment.  Unfortunately, in the Philippines, medical costs are paid out of pocket with NO government assistance. All medical expenses are placed on a burden of the patient and the family. With the amounting cost of the hospital stay, exams, treatment, supplies, and medications, it is taking a toll on the family. We are asking for support in any way possible, no matter how small.  Right now, she is having to undergo surgery to improve her heart function.  Our hopes are to have her stable enough where she can travel back to the US, where she is able to get  the best medical treatment possible.
