Da Vinci High School Esports going to Nationals

Hi, my name is Draegon, I, and the members of my Los Angeles-based esports team need help to go to nationals for the Electronic Gaming Federation for High School (EGFH) tournament in Orlando Florida at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports.

 

We are a high school esports club that has grown into a competitive Overwatch team that has proven that we deserve our spot in nationals.

 

A few months ago, we were just a group of high school students who shared a passion for competitive videogames. We all came together and slowly turned this group of students into an active club where we participate in competitive tournaments against schools across America.

 

We have performed so well this season that we qualified for nationals by performing in the top 8 out of 40 teams that participated in the event. Currently, we have been given a grant from EGFH to help us travel out there, but we still need help.

 

If we can go out to Orlando to participate in this event, our school's esports program will continue to grow so that other students that share my passion will have a place to go where we can all participate in tournaments and shine above the competition. Going to nationals also means we will have enough credibility for the school to help us fund future projects like building an esports lab where students can meet in person and practice in a more personal and professional environment.

 

Over the last few months, Orlando was just a dream of ours, we never thought we would be able to afford the trip, let alone be able to qualify, but everyone has shown so much passion and skill that we have made huge steps in the right direction and now we are here.
