In memory of Liam Jones

Hi everyone, as you all will know tragically Liam was taken away from his family in a cold-blooded murder on the evening of Tuesday 1st August whilst riding his electric bike, not a single thought was given to how this would affect those who loved him dearly! This has taken a massive toll on his parents, brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces and has rocked their world beyond repair.

Following a discussion with Liam's immediate family we have decided to set up this Go Fund Me completely against Liam's wishes-he thought it was 'nitty' and would never want to appear begging for anything; if you know Liam personally you know this was something he would say, he would always help others if they needed it and would give what he had in his pocket. He would drop whatever he was doing to help his family or friends and never grumbled or said you owed him.

The aim is to take the financial pressure off Liam's family and help cover funeral costs, a wake to remember and potentially an eye-catching headstone in his memory if funds allow us to. We are starting small and only expect people to donate where they can even if it is just £1- they all add up!

In a short space of time as we all hoped and prayed for answers at the police cordon on the morning of Wednesday 2nd August we raised £200 amongst a small group of Liam's friends and family, this just goes to show the sheer generosity of those who loved him. We used this money for the spectacular balloon release held later on in the afternoon.

Due to ongoing investigations, no funeral arrangements have been made as of yet but we do know Liam's family would love nothing more than to give him the true send-off he deserves and honor his love for bikes with a fitting headstone in due course. Any arrangements will be shared when finalized by the family.
