Dad, Woodrow McGlothlin, needs lung transplant

Husband, father, grandfather (3times), brother, son, retired US Marshal and ARMY Bronze Star decorated combat vet who has sacrificed and committed his life to public service JUST NEEDING A LITTLE HELP. My dad, Woodrow McGlothlin, needs a lung transplant to overcome his progressive disease, thus we are searching and trying to establish the means to buy the medicine, fuel, hotels and food to get him back forth to Vanderbilt (Nashville) from Bristol for these preliminary examinations and hopefully soon a lung transplant. My dad is only 57 hasn’t been given much chance to enjoy his retirement he worked hard, over 50 combined years, towards. Interstitial Lung Disease with Acute Pneumonia is his diagnoses with a 52% mortality rate within 1-3 years. The pulmonary doctors and specialists suspect Dad being severely exposed to the toxic smoke billowing out of the burning oil fields and burn pits in Iraq is likely the cause, or at least a large contributing factor, of/to his unfortunate condition. If you know Dad, you should know he’s a fighter, stubborn as hell, and isn’t gonna roll over. His ARMY retirement hasn’t begun coming in yet and we are in the process of him being put on Disability with 100% benefit(this process can take over a year!). My stepmother, Sandy, and he have been taking care of my little nephew, Parker, for better part of two years and that’s of course added to household financial strain, but they love that little fella and would stake the house for him. Im not exactly thrilled about the situation or starting this gofundme but I love my dad and he’s been nothing but there for me and my family and so I am humbly willing to do anything to see to it he gets well and has a great quality of life for the rest of the many years he has left! Just know any little bit helps and is sincerely, from the bottom of each in my family’s hearts, appreciated and I pray may you be blessed in Jesus Christ’s name and may the Lord’s will be done. Thank you for taking time to read this. Please share if you don’t mind. Thanks again!
