Dad's Funeral Celebration of Life Service
Donation protected
As most of you know, our Dad, Raymond/Ray Kenyon passed away unexpectedly on January 20, 2023. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War & was proud to be a veteran. Upon his death, our family discovered that he did not have any life insurance policies to cover his funeral expenses. When we contacted the VA for assistance to help with the costs to pay for a proper service for him, we were told that unless he was receiving a VA pension or was medically discharged from active service, the only compensation for him was a headstone or bronze plaque.
Our family is looking to raise any funds to help with the cost of his funeral service/ celebration of life service which is scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 11th, 2023 beginning at 11:00 am at the American Legion, 76 Main St, Binghamton, NY 13905.
Donations will help pay for funeral expenses and any other expenses that might arise for the family in the coming months.
We invite all his family and friends to join us in celebrating his life by sharing photos, stories, and memories at his service. Dad was a loyal New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. He enjoyed bowling and had several 300 games, and also enjoyed golfing even if he never had a chance to get that "hole in one". He always said it was more fun trying to get that hole in one!
If there are funds available after covering all his expenses and closing out his estate, the remainder of the money will be donated to local veteran organizations.
Thank you for your donation.
