It is with deep sorrow that we share with you the loss of a great national and international track & field athlete, Daeshon Gordon. Daeshon passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 21st in Natchitoches, LA, where she was a current student at Northwestern State University (NSU). Daeshon recently completed her Collegiate track career at NSU where she won multiple Southland Conference individual titles in the 100H and 400H events. She also earned 2 NCAA Division I All-American honors while competing for Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. Prior to college and while attending LSU, Daeshon competed for Jamaica at the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships and the 2015 PanAm Junior Championships where she won a Bronze Medal in the 100mH event. In High School, while competing for Boyd Anderson and Northeast High School, Daeshon tallied a total of 4 individual FHSAA State titles in the 100mH and 300mH events.
Her lifelong ambition and aspiration was to become an Elementary School teacher. She was an exceptional track and field athlete who excelled at the sport she loved. Her Genuine spirit resonated with so many individuals around the globe. At this time the family needs your financial assist to help with funeral and burial expenses.
