Daily living for Bill Haydon

Donation protected
Matt Jenkins Kenneth Dale Kurt Ackerman, raising money for Bill Haydon for support after stroke. Bill doesn't have a working vehicle, can't attend rehabilitation sessions, and relies on family from another town to insure his daily needs. Just had a lifelong friend of Bill's tell me... If We can raise 5k, they will match it for 10k total.
I really appreciate the foos family helping out a lifetime player who spent a huge chunk of his life putting the tournament sites together for all of us!

Billy and I go back several years and throughout the years he has become one of my dearest friends,
as he is to a lot of people.

Most people that know him know how generous and kind person he is. He has always been funny and kind and would always give to his friends, even though he himself, didn't have that much. He always believed in living a simple happy life and "live and let live".

Of course, traveling the country playing foosball is something that he enjoyed doing, and that was one of the things that we shared in common. Since late 2018 I have gone on so many roadtrips with him just going from tournament to tournament. I remember one time we were riding together and he said "How many drops of water are in lake Michigan?" I spent the next hour trying to come up with an answer and when I finally did, and I told him, he said "I don't care I just wanted you to shut up." Lol. That was funny. He just loved to cut up like that and I miss that as well.

That said, it is no secret that when the pandemic hit, not only were our tournaments cancelled, but Bill suffered a stroke that changed his life forever. The doctors told him that he would not be able to walk again but by the grace of God he is able to walk now. However, he did lose motion in his left arm and has not recovered it yet (although I have hopes that he will), and believe it, life without being able to use one of your arms is not easy. Not only has he struggled with essential tasks but of course, he has lost his ability to play foosball at the high level that we were all used to.

I think not being able to play foosball is something that was very painful, and I hope the day comes that he is able to return. I visited Bill late last year and while I do not want to give exact details of his private situation since I don't want to violate that privacy, I can tell you it is not easy. His ability to go places is severely limited as well as driving, and also, as you could imagine from someone that isn't able to use his left arm fully - many tasks are challenging.

We all know that he is not rich, and when he says he doesn't need the money, he typically says that as an excuse to help people, buy someone a meal, or just be generous. If anybody deserves the money it is him.

As some of you know, during the Arnold Classic I played a singles money match. My opponent, Kurt, threw around the idea of doing something for Billy or some kind of fundraiser for Billy just because probably like me, Bill has done a lot for a lot of us.

So here is my continuation of rolling with that idea. I will set the target at $1000 which is symbolic of the money match that was played. Even though this is just an excuse to help Bill, any person that donates any amount at all, will receive:

-a private link to the video of the money match.
-a private link to my recording of Arnold Schwarzenegger's foosball match.
(Arnold and Blake Robertson played a game to 5 against "Captain" and Dustin Bahas)

That said, I want to specify that I am not selling this content. In fact, I will make both these videos public eventually. This is just an excuse for the fundraiser, and it is not about "access to content" but rather "helping Billy". The videos will be public for all to see anyway in a few weeks or a month time.

I have appointed my friend Matt Jenkins to collect the money so he will be the one that receives the money and hands it to Billy, since he lives in the same city as Bill and is close with him.

I encourage everyone to help achieve the goal and have a wonderful day.

Kenneth Dale
