Daisy Clements is going for open heart surgery.

My granddaughter Daisy was born with Down Syndrome and Atrioventricular Septal Defect (AVSD).  She has a hole in the middle of her heart which is in the atrium and ventricles more than normal. The Surgeon will have to do open-heart surgery.  Daisy has other issues with her valves which will be reconstructed at this time. Daisy just turned 5 years old on her birthday. The doctors think this is a
good age to have the heart repaired. This has a big impact on Her Mommy and Daddy and sister and brother. The family will need prayers. Daisy will be in surgery for 7 hours on May 4th, and have a 7-10 day stay at the IWK in Halifax if everything goes well. With Covid rules, they will have to self isolate for 14 days when coming back to PEI. Brady will be missing the first month of work and just the expense of everything and the unknown. Daisy is the sweetest little girl with the best hugs and always up for playtime. She is missing the last month of Pre-K to have her surgery. This is an extremely emotional time for everyone.
