Our friend Daisy Romero needs your immediate support. She is currently being cared for in the ER and does not have access to health insurance.
Born in Queens, NY and moved to Milwaukee as a teenager, Daisy has dedicated herself to making our city a more just, equitable and vibrant place. She has spent over a decade organizing grassroots efforts for immigrant rights and Black & Brown unity.
Since the inception of COVID-19 she has been leading efforts with Ayuda Mutua MKE, working tirelessly to make sure people have essential items including food, medicine, and hygiene products. Just this week with the WI UndocuFund, she was coordinating the distribution of funds directly to undocumented families who have not received stimulus checks. Daisy has also been on the frontlines of the Milwaukee Protests since they began, even after being arrested and brutalized by the police. Daisy is a giver, Daisy is a fighter.
If you know Daisy you know she gives her whole heart to everything she does. She is always on the side of justice, always giving, being thoughtful, and supporting whenever she can. She is a leader in her community and a fierce ally to many.
We are looking to her community to support during these trying times. She is currently being cared for in the ER with no health insurance.
These funds are to ensure she can pay any and all medical expenses as well as have some income to support while she recovers.
Support Daisy so she can continue to support our city and everyone in it.
