Daisy’s USA Greenkeeping Adventure

Our daughter Daisy fell into a Golf Greenkeeping job after college and seems to have found her passion in life!

After working at Lydd Golf Club for 4 years, she applied for the amazing opportunity to work in the USA on the Ohio State Greenkeeping programme. She was accepted!

She will be leaving the UK at the end of March. For her first six months she has been placed at the National Liberty Golf Club in New Jersey. Very exciting but also nerve racking (for all of us staying at home). New Jersey isn’t the cheapest place to start her international journey!

Having self funded all of the visas, applications, licenses and flights (both UK to USA and then internal return flights from New Jersey to Ohio for a mandatory orientation day) funds are dwindling fast.

After much debate (because she feels that there are more deserving people) she has agreed to us setting up a Gofundme for her to help with initial costs, this is the first time she will be living on her own, and she will need to buy all the things you need when you leave home - just in another country!
