On April 6, 2018, Corporal Dale Hallman of the Saluda County Sheriff's Office died in the line of duty. Late last night, the Sheriff's Office called for K9 backup to catch a suspect who had ran off into the woods. Cpl Hallman responded with his K9 when his car crashed en route to the scene.
Cpl Hallman leaves behind his pregnant wife and two young step-sons. He was only 30 years old. He is remembered as a devoted law enforcement officer with five years of service at Saluda County Sheriff's Office. In addition, he served the citizens of Saluda County as a Lieutenant in the County Fire Service. In 2016, Cpl Hallman was awarded the Medal of Valor for his outstanding service to Saluda County.
We are raising money to support his family following this immense tragedy. 100% of proceeds will go to the family.
This GoFundMe is supported by the Saluda County Sherrif's Office, South Carolina Law Enforcement Association and South Carolina Law Enforcement Assistance Program.
