Dale and The Meyer Family

Dale Meyer… Husband, Father, Brother and so much more.
Last December, started our journey within the world of Cancer or more specifically Leukemia. Dale went to see his doctor about a bacteria infection and was immediately admitted to UC Health in Greeley Co. When we were told about the Leukemia, we were very optimistic because Dale has always been very healthy. So, we as a family followed all the doctor’s recommendations. But Dale continued to get very bad fevers, so he was in the hospital more than he was at home. A few weeks ago, we were on our last chemo treatment and praying for the best, but the cancer was much too strong. Dale decided he would like to spend his remaining time at home with his family. Dale and I have been married for 28 years on April 29th. At this time, I am hoping and praying he will be here with me on our Anniversary.
While Dale was in the hospital or working from home, he always felt compelled to continue working. Dale was employed with Colorado Early Colleges in Fort Collins, Colorado as a Director of Academic Advising. He loved his job because he was able to help so many High School students plan a successful future.
Dale is an avid sports fan. His first love was baseball but later fell into a deep love with basketball. He played in high school, and multiple recreation leagues, coached the sport and even refereed for 17 years. He also refereed high school football for 12 years. Dale is also a golfer. The height of his golf career came when he got a hole-in-one at Highland Hills Golf Course in Greeley.
Our family would like to send sincere thanks to the family, friends, and neighbors who’ve expressed their support during this difficult time. Your Well Wishes and prayers are deeply appreciated, have been heard, and have been carrying us through this difficult time.
Unfortunately, Dale does not have disability insurance or consistent paychecks and I have not worked outside the home since the diagnosis. We are asking for some help with doctor bills, cobra insurance, funeral costs and household bills that have accumulated throughout this illness. Thank You
