Dale's Flute Funds

Hello All,

My name is Dale Cox and I am a Junior at East Carolina University majoring in Flute Performance and Music Education. I have been performing on flute and piccolo with the ECU Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble (by competitive audition, and most recently performed in the live Nutcracker orchestra here in Greenville. I have been working hard with my applied professor, Dr. Christine Gustafson.

Dr. Gustafson believes I am at the end of what my current flute can do for me. My flute is not keeping up with my current playing and lacks some of the keys that are now considered standard. With a new instrument that is adequate to current professional standards of pitch, tone quality, and technical function, I will be able to keep up with my performance studies, and I will be able to find what I need to grow as a young professional in our field.

I am setting up this GoFundMe account to help fund my goal of a new flute. I also work outside of my university studies and will contribute all I can to rent, insurance, and other daily expenses. I also am a Pell Grant Recipient and have applied for scholarships to help me pay for school so that I can continue to grow in my craft. I am appreciative of any help possible, and any amount is welcome!
