Dalton's Recovery

Donation protected

My name is Shiloh Terrell, wife of Dalton Terrell. My husband is an EMT that was hit by a suspected drunk driver while on duty aiding an accident on the side of the highway outside of YelloBelly dragstrip on July 10th.

The newstory can be seen here: http://www.fox4news.com/news/175005590-story

I am a stay at home mother of 2 children aged 3 years and 1 year. The funds this GoFundMe raises will be used to help with lost wages following Dalton's accident while he is out of work, unexpected medical bills/copays/insurance in the future, and generally helping us survive through his recovery. I plan to withdraw the money directly to our joint bank account, put it in savings, and manage it from there each month as needed to pay bills for living, food, and future long term medical bills. I'm adding this in accordance to GoFundMe's policy to avoid fraud and be as honest with the people helping us as possible. I am also lowering the limit because we are being helped by so many people, we may not need as much as I originally thought. Thank you - each and every one of you, for helping us through this financially and emotionally as we walk the road to recovery. THIS IS NOT IN RELATION TO THE OFFICER SHOOTINGS IN DALLAS.

Original post:
July 11th, 2016 "This morning at 12am I was told my husband was in an accident. He was working EMS for an accident on the side of the road in Dallas when he was hit by a drunk driver. Zoey was staying the night at Gigis. I loaded Damon in the car and drove an hour to Dallas. Dalton was conscious but in bad shape when I got here. Told me how much he loved me. He had to have brain surgery. His skull was shattered and they placed a metal plate in his head. His chest has severe bruises because the car hit and landed on him (?) and a wonderful good samaritan named Byron pulled him out from under the truck and called me. The drunk driver fled the scene on foot, but since they left their truck behind the police have their info. He's out of surgery now and stable. He's intubated and knocked out. We have a 24 to 48 hour critical care time frame before we're out of the woods. Whatever your life belief is, send us the prayers, the good vibes, the juju. We need it all. Love to each of you and thanks in advance for all the thoughts and prayers I know you will surely send."

Update: First CT scan after brain surgery showed NO FURTHER BLEEDING. Keep those vibes/prayers up y'all, my husband is a fighter

We appreicate all of your support. We have a long road ahead of us.
