17 years and 5 months ago, My husband Richard Nguyen an I got the call if we wanted my foster sons baby brother, (Damani), and I said absolutely. So after some time, he officially became my son. Thats when he became Damani J Dykes. I already knew he was born addicted to drugs but, it didn't matter to me. Over the years me and my husband went through war with him as he got older. In and out psych hospitals and then drug rehabs. All types of problems and we never gave up on him. Fast forward some. He just came home on July 3rd from placement again. Now being 17 having a girlfriend he went str8 to her house. So on August 29th in the morning on my way to work he called and talked to me for a while. Then I worked my shift, get off at 3 something, that's when I get the call from his girlfriend who said my son was unresponsive. Well today September 2, 2023 my son suffered from cardiac arrest a didn’t make it. He has NO life insurance. Every penny counts, so if you can help, please do.
