Damian Boyd and Damian Jr

We want to invite you to participate in an opportunity to assist a brother in need. We don’t ask this lightly, yet this isn’t an emotional or in any way a desperate plea. We simply ask that you consider the following with an ear to the Lord, and respond in whatever way you feel encouraged.

Damian Boyd is a friend of ours who has recently had a significant life change. Until recently, Damian has been a pastor, public speaker and author in the Atlanta area and around the world. However, without getting into too much detail, out of respect for his privacy, we can attest that due to circumstances beyond his control, he has had to lay most of that work aside to care for his adult son who suffers from significant challenges and requires full-time assistance.

At this time, his wheelchair van needs to be replaced. We have been working together and have researched the possible solutions with the following criteria in mind:

A used chassis that is reliable,

Lowest mileage possible,

Braunability XL conversion (required due to son’s age/size), and

Best price available.

We have identified a vehicle that meets these criteria: a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica with 54K miles on it. The negotiated price is $56,500.00. (The chassis is ≈$27k and the conversion is ≈$26k with the rest in tax, tag, title). I have attached the specs on the vehicle.

That figure may seem shocking, but these vehicles, with the proper conversion, can run between $75k and $90k new. There are less expensive vehicles, but they do not meet all of the criteria- particularly the Braunability XL conversion which is essential to the need.

His current vehicle will bring $1500 to the table (It is actually headed to scrapyard, but the dealer is offering $1500 to help as well offering a price slightly above cost).

That leaves $55,000.00 to raise. Any amount raised will lower the amount left for Damian to finance and would relieve his burden greatly.

We will be contributing both personally and through our respective businesses, and we invite you to join me in helping Damian.
