Damien Lord's Funeral Funds

As many of you know, Damien was an amazing man with a heart of gold. He would do anything for anyone. Monday January 22, 2018 he went to the E.R. in Dodgeville and they admitted him that night. He was in constant pain and couldn't get comfortable. Tuesday he was admitted to the ICU at Dodgeville because he couldn't keep his oxygen levels up. Come Wednesday he was so low on oxygen that they decided to sedate and transfer him to Meriter hospital in Madison. That night he was put into a rotorest bed, that would take pressure off the back of his lungs, which would then higher his oxygen levels and hopefully loosen the infection in his lungs. His was in the rotorest bed all day and night Thursday and at times would flip him on his back to see how his lungs could handle the pressure. Friday they flipped him on his back for 8 hours and he was tolerating it very well. Friday was the best day he had. Saturday they were planning on flipping him again, but as soon as they flipped him his oxygen levels had dropped so they flipped him back on his stomach. They later tried again and still his oxygen levels went down. Sunday morning we woke to a note on our door telling us to come talk to a nurse or doctor. He had started losing his battle with keeping his oxygen up. They needed his mother Julie to come in to talk about some options. Around 3 pm we had a conference to make a decision on what to do. Either let it ride out and hope for the best or try a risky procedure and hope for the best. Both choices were hard, but we decided to try the procedure because at least we knew then that we at least tried. Around 5 pm the doctor came to us in tears saying that his oxygen levels weren't improving and they were falling fast. The family and friends got to say goodbye and be there for when his heart stopped. He wasn't alone, he was surrounded by his loved ones. This is to help raise some money for his son as well as money for funeral costs. We are asking for a little help with his unexpected passing. If you knew Damien he would do the same.
