Dan and Jack's campaign for Food Bank for NYC
Tax deductible
Dear friends,
Over the past few weeks, as election news has consumed us all and winter has begun to close in, we wanted to acknowledge in some small yet meaningful way that there are a lot of people hurting right now, from both the economic hardships brought about by COVID and the lack of resources to serve communities in need.
One week from now - on Sunday, December 6 - we will be running a "virtual marathon" in New York City to raise money for Food Bank for NYC, which is the city's largest hunger-relief organization, and has been working to end food poverty in the five boroughs for over 36 years.
In support of this effort, we've set up this donation page to raise funds, with a goal of $10,000 by December 6. We also will personally match up to $1,500 each to help us get closer to our goal (and hopefully motivate all of you to chip in however you can!).
A marathon, is, well... a marathon. The training has gone on in stops and starts since September, and we feel as ready as we'll be for the day. As we get closer to the date of the virtual run, we will send out more details for those of you who would like to join in and run portions of the route along with us or offer support from the sidelines.
Thank you for your generosity; we hope you had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!
