Dan and Stephanie Adams
Donation protected
On September 10, 2022 Dan went in for a cardiac catherization and found that 80% blockage of his right coronary artery and needed a stent. At this time they also found that his bicuspid valve was failing and he had an aortic aneurysm which was a complication from the valve. Dan was discharged but returned within 4 days with pulmonary edema. As Dan became more critical he was transferred to another hospital to receive a higher level of care. Once he was transferred he continued to decline and was intubated and had emergency surgery. During surgery an LVAD was placed to help pump blood and he was placed on CRRT. After surgery and meeting with his team of physicians his heart was worse than they expected and Dan was flown to UTSW and is being worked up for a heart and kidney transplant. As anyone could imagine this has become a life changing event for the Adams family. Stephanie has taken a leave of absence from her job to support and be at her husband side. They have two beautiful children, Stella and Sam both 7 years old. Anything you donate will be used to offset daily expenses and medical bills.
