DAN BAZAN MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Donation protected
Hello to all, I am Tina Bagley, and I am creating this page for my most precious son in law Daniel Bazan. On January 14th, Daniel and his wife received the horrific news that Dan had advanced esophageal cancer. After additional testing, they found out that he has cancer in his abdomen, liver, and lymph nodes. Both his oncologist and thoracic surgeon have told them that this is not a death sentence. However, his treatment will be long and hard. They think that treatment will last a year to 18 months and will be very arduous. He is facing surgery for a stent to be placed to correct his nutritional deficits, which is a journey in and of itself. Currently, Dan is unable to work due to this diagnosis which carries with it an unpleasant burden. He is very worried about not being able to pay their mortgage or their monthly living expenses. Taking care of his family has been his life's work; his wife, Tasha, step-daughter, Gwen, and his mom, Phyllis, all live with him and this makes it even more difficult for his humble self to ask for help.
To make the situation all the more unbearable, on the way to a necessary ultrasound on January 15th Tasha and Dan broke down and the vehicle is no longer operable, with an estimated $7,000.00 for repairs. They have depended on the community's generosity for rides and to pick Gwendolyn up from school, but with upcoming appointments and a lack of surplus of vehicles, the vehicle is needed, and we need to lean into the generosity of our tremendous community for this help

Daniel is a very independent individual. It took a tremendous amount of coaxing for both him and Tasha for me to do this. The cost for treatment is going to be astronomical, and we will eventually be involved with Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital for future treatments that may possibly include immunosuppression; an up and coming cancer treatment to help keep Dan comfortable whilst he fights this battle with an arch-nemesis: cancer. As of today before insurance will release or contribute to treatment they must meet their $6500.00 dollar deductible. Chemotherapy will at minimum consist of a cost of $500.00 per month. This is all in addition to their day to day cost, and most importantly their mortgage.
Things have happened quickly and their world has been turned upside down. All of this is chaotic and we appreciate your kindness.

Any donation will help as we need Dan to be focused on his recovery and not the stress of finances weighing on his as he arms himself to be the best he can be to make it through the battle.
With your help we can better imagine a better future. Thank you.
