Dan Cohen

On Wednesday 3/4/20, Dan Cohen was riding his scooter through Manhattan Beach to walk some of his dogs. He was just a few blocks from home when a car pulled out in front of him. Dan t-boned the unlicensed driver and shattered his left leg and left wrist. He was taken to Harbor UCLA Trauma center and underwent his first round of many surgeries to come. He stayed in the hospital through Sunday and was released to start his recovery at home. He is currently bed ridden and requires round the clock care.  He has also developed a very serious infection (c-diff) which is causing lots of pain for him and is prolonging his ability to get his next surgery.  Dan is much happier now that he is home with the comfort of his many friends and his sweet kitty. Unfortunately, as many of you know, Dan does not have insurance and his sole source of income has been teaching Yoga and walking dogs, neither of which he will be able to do for many months from now. We are setting up this go fund me account so that hopefully we can pay for many of his current expenses and to pay to have a nurse or someone to help take care for him at home. Any little bit will help and we hope to get Dan back on his feet to get back to the life he loves, teaching and taking yoga, playing volleyball, walking dogs and cruising the beach on his bicycle and most of all visiting with his friends and family.
