Dan Devine

Hello,

We are friends of Dan Devine of Norton Mass and we are reaching out in hopes of raising money and support for Dan as he continues with his battle with a glioblastoma brain tumor.

In April of 2023, Dan was experiencing dizziness, confusion, and pain while on a job working. He was taken to Sturdy Memorial and then to Brigham and Woman’s Hospital where a stage 4 glioblastoma was found within the right side of Dan’s brain/head. Dan underwent immediate brain surgery to remove 90% of the tumor followed by months of radiation, chemotherapy, and drug trials. Fortunately, Dan’s strength and resilience helped him recover quickly from the surgery and he fought through the side effects of the treatment while continuing to work as a carpenter and general contractor. His positive attitude, sense of humor, and strength were remarkable. Dan’s family and friends were amazed with his spirit and courage and were encouraged and hopeful.

Over the past 8 months, Dan has spent his time doing what he enjoys most. Spending time with his sons Patrick and Aidan at the racetrack, continuing to work as a master carpenter/general contractor, and spending time with his friends.

Unfortunately, a routine follow up in the fall showed the tumor had grown back and Dan underwent a second brain surgery in November to remove the growth. Once again, he showed remarkable resilience as he bounced back just days after the surgery and walked out of the hospital with his continued positive attitude and energy.

As he continues to battle against brain cancer, he faces many struggles including financial hardships. Since Dan has a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back for his family, friends and/or strangers, we are asking for any help and support that you could that would help Dan as he battles and fights.
