Help fund Dandy's operation!

Hello! My name is Isabelle and I've got a sweet, very dear animal living with me. Her name is Dandy. She's a 7-year old skunk who is just the most adorable, gentle creature I've ever had the chance of meeting. She's my pillar, my reason to wake up every day.

Sadly, the past few months we've visited the vet plenty of times. Thing is, she has trouble walking; she fumbles and stumbles and sometimes falls over. Some days are better, and some days are worse- where she can barely walk because of discomfort. Added to that, recently she's started losing control over when she has to 'go', and instead of using the litter box like she always did, things just happen on the spot. It makes my heart ache to watch her struggle.

Her regular vet assumes it's most likely a lower back hernia, or a similar nerve problem, and refers me to a specialist that can do further research, a scan, as well as an operation.

Thing is, because of my mental health I am unemployed and my monthly income is just enough to live a basic life. As much as I want to do this on my own, I'm not able to, even if I hold back on groceries and save up as much as I can. Begging for money makes me uncomfortable, but if discomfort for me means that Dandy can recover and spend another few years of her life happily and comfortably, then that's worth it to me. (domesticated skunks can live up to 10-12 years!)

Dandy literally means everything to me. Every little donation would be so, so appreciated. Every cent will remove a little bit of anxiety and fear from my mind and shoulders. Every donation gives me hope that we can do this, that we can fix her.

I'll try to post updates and pictures of her frequently if I can, so you can follow along and see her cute muzzle plenty!

Right now, an appointment for at least a consult and an MRI/CT scan is planned on the 30th of September. I'm unsure if an operation will take place during this visit as well, but once I know more I'll let that be known in updates, naturally.
