Dan Leahy’s Treatment Fund

Hello, my name is Ben Leahy, and I am creating this fundraiser for my dad, Dan Leahy. This year was full of hardships for us. In July, we had a devastating house fire causing a total loss due to smoke damage. Then, a couple of weeks ago, we were shocked to hear that my father had been diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic melanoma. Since getting the diagnosis, our whole family has put our lives on pause. We have been in contact with doctors, nurses, pharmacists, etc., regarding the next steps for my dad. Things have only gotten more promising after hearing that he qualified for a targeted treatment for metastatic melanoma. My dad will be coming back home soon, and we couldn't be happier. However, in order to keep him comfortable, we'll need to bring in home healthcare, including a nurse to help with his medicine, check his vitals, and administer an IV. We are so grateful for all of our friends and family offering support during these times, and we are hoping that this fundraiser offers anybody the chance to help us with out of pocket expenses as well as lost wages.
