Dan Powers

Hi, my name is Linda and I started this GoFundMe to support the children of Dan Powers. Sadly, Dan passed away on October 16, 2023. Dan was always the life of the party, he was happy and full of life and his sense of humor kept everyone around him laughing. Dan was well loved by everyone who knew him, he was kind hearted and selfless and he made anyone who knew him feel welcome and loved. Dan was brave, he was a hero and passionate about his career in the FDNY where he spent 26 years at Engine 250 in Brooklyn. While he loved his career without a doubt Dan’s greatest accomplishment was his family. Dan was married to the love of his life Christine Powers and they had two beautiful children, who were Dan’s entire world, Callie, 20 and Danny, 17. Unfortunately Dan, Callie and Danny lost Christine just one year ago on October 25, 2022. Now tragically Dan’s passing has thrust Callie and Danny into adulthood and into a situation that no children should ever have to be in. They are faced with not only going through their family home but with a mortgage payment, car payments and all the things that come along with adulthood! In Lieu of flowers, I am asking that you please consider donating in Dan’s name to help Callie and Danny keep their head above water while trying to learn how to navigate life without their parents. In addition to Callie and Danny, Dan is survived by his mom Virginia Powers and his siblings Joseph Powers, Edward Powers, Thomas Powers, Jean Ann Powers and Kathy Powers. Thank you
