Dana Bond and her children
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Neighbors and Family,
It is with a heavy heart that I share with you the news that Dana Bond has lost her husband, Erich, who died unexpectedly at age 39.
Unfortunately, Erich had no life insurance. As you can imagine, this is an extremely sad and difficult situation for Dana and the children (Emmett, age 10 and Vivienne, age 2). Erich was the love of her life, her rock. She is devastated, and now must raise their two young children without him.
Erich was a loving, caring person who has done so much for so many, willing to give the shirt off his back to a stranger with a smile. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He worshipped his family and was the best father a child could ever hope to have. Dana is a great mother and friend. She has a heart of gold and has always been willing to help anyone in need as well. Together, they made the world a happier, better place to live in.
Now is an opportunity to help their family offset the medical, household and final expenses they will incur, and to help keep the family afloat during this difficult time.
Please find it in your hearts to help- anything would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Note: please scroll down to the gratuity portion and adjust accordingly before donating. If not, Go Fund Me will automatically take 19% of your donation. Condolence cards may also be sent directly to the family.

Update: details for Erich’s celebration of life below.
Come Celebrate the life of Erich Cherry, with his friends and family on Friday, June 7th, 2024 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
Acacia Clubhouse
111 Cascade Drive, Indian Head Park, IL
Come out to raise a glass to Erich, to his life and to his love of so much and so many. Write a legacy note to the children, listen to some of Erich’s favorite tunes, and munch on some of his favorite sweets.
Wear your best rock/metal T-shirt, funniest T-shirt, or a beanie and your favorite plaid shirt, even though all of his are better.
There will be a PA system if you have a fun story to share. We’re going for minimal tears and no drama… keeping things light and fun, just how Erich would want them.
If you have pictures of Erich you would like included in the Celebration displays, please send them via text or PM to Dana by 5/21.
If you have a favorite finger food or dessert you’d like to bring, you know Erich would never say No.
We don’t need anything else at this time except for you to show up and kick up the love a notch. ❤️
