Hello everyone, my name is Danielle, and this GoFundMe is to support Lana's father in his fight against Pancreatic cancer.

Lana and I immediately connected as freshmen at Slippery Rock University, and it is wild to think that we have almost conquered college together as first-generation students. We are in the same major department, and I am so thankful to have found someone to laugh with, cry with, and work alongside throughout this journey.

Earlier this semester, Lana's father, Dana, was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer, and it is spreading. Lana considered dropping out and taking next semester off, but I encouraged her to finish this semester and stay on track to graduate because that is what he would want for her. I truly relate to the mental struggle that Lana and her family feel now, the heartbreaking feeling that you should be by his side but can't be because life does not stop for anyone.

Currently, Dana is undergoing chemotherapy treatment and Lana's mom has been working double shifts and overtime to cover the cost of hospital bills.

I am forever grateful to Mr. Wagner for raising Lana with such an undeniable and unbreakable stride. It is heartbreaking to see her and her family struggle. Lana and I have undergone some very tragic and unfortunate life events this semester, so I am blessed that we have each other to rely on and keep each other in check.
