Dana’s Fight To Recovery: Nothing is impossible

“I have breast cancer. Don’t worry. I got this!”
These are the exact words Dana said to me after discovering a mass on her left breast, rushing to get a breast exam, then a mammogram & ultrasound, a biopsy, MRI and port placed for chemo all within two weeks. The positive mindset will get you through. This is the strong D we all know and love.
Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it. Dana is on the right path, caught it early (Stage 1b) but it is invasive so she will be needing a treatment plan with chemo beginning 1/22 through May. She will also need hormone treatments that will continue after surgery. Once the chemo plan is completed, they will determine a surgery option. Mastectomy or Lumpectomy, then radiation to follow.
Updates regarding Dana’s journey will be on this page if you’d like to show support or share kind words.
*Any support received will go toward medical bills and expenses associated with all the treatments and surgery.
Dana, there is always hope beyond what you can see. It's possible not just to survive, but to thrive and to live a healthy, wonderful life again. Your amazing son, Kayden, will be by your side, along with so many others. During this time, surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher, and in the meantime, we will try and help you where we can to eliminate one battle you are faced with. Tough times don’t last, tough people do.
