Eckerstrom House Fire

Hi, my name is Marisa Madaras and I am a freshman on the Women's Soccer Team at the University of Mary Washington. My roommate and best friend, Dana Eckerstrom is also a freshman on the team. It is for her and her family that my team and I have created this fund.

Late on March 10th, the Eckerstroms 2 story house in Germantown, Maryland was consumed in a fire causing over $1 million in damage. At the time, Dana's parents, sister Britt, and two national women's soccer players (whom the family was hosting) were all in the house.  The Eckerstroms are now staying in a hotel and are beginning to replace their basic needs for living; clothes, shoes, toiletries, and food. The donations contributed to this fund will be used to help support them as they overcome the loss of their home. Although we cannot bring back their home, we can hope to relieve some of their trauma and stress through this support. 

As Dana's roommate, teammate, and friend, I am asking personally as well as on the behalf of my whole team that you please consider donating to this cause. No amount will go unnoticed or unappreciated. Thank you so much.
