Dance Fairies Clothing Collection: Help Fund Shipping Costs!

Hi! My name is Lena. I conducting a dance clothing collection for Dance Fairies, an organization which provides dance clothing and costumes to dancers who otherwise would not have access to these magical assets of the dance experience!

I am the founder of the Peanuts and Pointe Shoes Project, a project in my community geared towards providing a relevant nutritional advice outlet for dancers and dance trainees in my area. I hope, though this project, to address the issue of disordered eating in the dance world as well as provide information about and aid in the solving of the issue of food insecurity in my area.

As part of my project, I felt that it was important to address another vital component of the field of dance: the fact that every person has the right to be able to dance, and thus every person should have access to proper dance attire. The fact that there are people in the world who want so badly to dance, and yet do not have the ability to obtain the needed attire, breaks my heart. I have never had issues with buying a new pair of pointe shoes or purchasing a new leotard to replace an old one, so, in my humble opinion, why should anyone face these issues?

That is why I am starting a dance clothing collection for Dance Fairies as part of my Peanuts and Pointe Shoes project! Unfortunately, shipping costs remain their number one expense and the most limiting factor in their ability to deliver dance costumes to children in the United States and globally. For this reason, they kindly ask all their donors who are donating their dance attire to consider making a small monetary donation to cover that shipping cost. It costs around $4 per pound to ship internationally, and even shipping to the schools here in the US is almost the same price. If you could please be so kind as to help Dance Fairies with that through donating to this GoFundMe, it would allow them to get those costumes which are donated faster into the hands of children anxiously waiting for them. This would be greatly appreciated by both us here at Peanuts and Pointe Shoes and by Dance Fairies!
