Dance Scholarships for Less Fortunate Families

Bri Nelson is a single mother of 4 and the owner of Motions Dance Studio in Meridian, Idaho. Due to the recent Covid-19 shutdowns, many in our community are facing financial strains. Logically, some of the first things to be put aside are children's extracurricular activities. Since 2011, Motions Dance Studio has offered less fortunate families a "Gift of Dance Scholarship". These scholarships allow children to be part of classes and performances at no cost to the family. These scholarships have been able to provide lessons to an average of 5-10 students each year. In 2020, many more children are in need of these scholarships than in years prior. Motions Dance Studio feels that during this challenging time, children need to have access to extracurricular activities, like dance. This will help boost spirits, keep kids active, and give children something fun to look forward to. My family and I have been with Bri's studio for 6+ years and have seen the effect it has for good on our children. After hearing about a possible closure of the studio, I approached Bri with this idea of a GoFundMe to help keep this local, small business afloat. We are asking you join in and give back.
