Dandelion's FIP Diagnosis
Donation protected
WE NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE..
Our beautiful baby boy Dandelion has been seriously unwell and suffering for a while now and we've been frantically trying to figure out what's wrong with him. The vets have done numerous tests and unfortunately he has contracted Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) which is a viral disease caused by certain strains of feline coronavirus. This disease used to be untreatable and they would only live for a maximum of 2 months.
However, a couple of years ago, a successful medication was discovered (actually due to trialling covid-19 vaccinations) but the medication was only licensed in the UK this March 2023 and is extremely expensive.
Our insurance covers him up to 7.5k but after the recent blood tests/ultrasounds/6 days & nights at the veterinary hospital/IV fluid drip/feeding syringe and first administered doses of FIP medication, this insurance has now been used up.
The further FIP medication alone costs a minimum of £3,000 but on top of that he needs weekly check ups and numerous blood tests over the 12 weeks (which cost £600 a go) to monitor the level of medication required for his recovery. The treatment has a 90% success rate so it's definitely worth it!
As some of you know, me and Jack have just bought a house and have a baby on the way so we really need your help with this! If you can spare anything whatsoever to help towards Dandelion's treatment, we will be forever grateful.
I really don't want to lose our baby boy. He's honestly my soul mate, mental health stabiliser, my family and I just love him so much. He's only 2 years old and too young to die. He deserves to live a long and happy life!
Any amount of donation will be a huge help. Thank you so much.
