Help fund Dani's Top Surgery!

Hey there, some of you may know me as a friend, family member, artist, cosplayer, faun, or random person you found on the internet! I do my best to provide creativity, inspiration, and smiles to those around me, but I’ve always been someone who struggles to ask for help.

Since I recognized my queer identity over 6 years ago, top surgery is a procedure I’ve been seeking for a long time. In the past few years, I’ve learned so much about myself; understanding the way I felt has been life-saving, but certainly painful at times.

I’ve been diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria, a medical condition that causes distress from an incongruence between my body and mind. Top surgery (also known as chest-masculinization surgery) will  immensely help my body feel like home. Over time, I’ve developed severe muscle pain from wearing a chest binder frequently for over two and a half years. Top surgery will significantly improve my physical health and overall quality of life. 

I've been met with many challenges along this journey, from postponing plans due to covid, to fighting with insurance. I have tried to go through multiple health insurance plans among three different surgeons in the past year, in which gender affirming coverage was denied. Going out of pocket is  more feasible at this time, and your donations will help secure this part of my journey.

Your donations will help cover the cost of the surgery this summer, performed by Dr. Gallagher, who specializes in transgender affirmation surgery. Any additional funds raised will help cover my travel costs and housing while recovering.

UPDATE: I'm beyond grateful (and genuinely surprised) at how many donations have been made already! I've extended the goal to $9,000, which is the full cost of the surgery.  I honestly didn't believe the full amount could be raised and set the bar low. I cannot thank you all enough for the amount kindness you've shared with me in the past few days.


All extra funds raised that will not be needed for this procedure or travel will be donated to The Trevor Project, an organization which provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ youth.
