Daniel (and Zach) Maxwell
Donation protected
Daniel's youngest son, Zachary, was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma. The cancer is in Zach's right shoulder, lungs, lymph nodes, and left iliac crest (close to the hip area). He is being treated about four hours away from home at Mayo Clinic and will undergo months of chemotherapy, followed by surgery which could lead to the amputation of his right arm, and then more chemotherapy.
First, we ask for prayer for Zachary, his parents, and three older siblings. This is a lot to process for each of them.
Second, if you can help Daniel financially, your gift would be hugely appreciated. Daniel is a hard worker and for years has been teaching full-time and also working a part-time job in the evenings and on weekends. As a recently divorced man, Daniel is responsible for the majority of Zach's medical bills. They will be taking multiple trips to Mayo Clinic each month and Daniel will be missing work for days and possibly weeks at a time while Zach receives his treatment and recovers from his surgery. During his limited time at home, Daniel needs to be available for his kids and not spend all his time working. While Daniel will be able to keep up with his teaching job, reaching the $15,000 goal will enable him to at least temporarily stop working his second job.
Zach recently talked with his aunt and said he’s at peace with the situation and is trusting God. ❤️ He has a long, difficult journey ahead.
