My father beating stage 4 cancer was our family miracle, and a miracle for his doctors and nurses as well. On the day he finished chemo, the nurses and doctors cheered for him and threw him a party. The doctor said he had such a positive attitude, never complained, and was always nice to everyone.
Over the summer, we watched him gain weight, enjoy life, and make plans to enjoy his retirement with his loving wife and family. He had a new lease on life and we all breathed a little easier as every new doctor's appointment told us how healthy he was.
That's why his passing was a shock to all of us, including his doctors, and a devastating blow. During his illness, his wife, three children, loving sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends rallied around him. He used the time that he was ill to improve his art and was planning to have an art show with his sisters in the winter. They are from a long line of artists, and he was passing that down to his children and grandchildren.
My father has left a loving wife and young son living alone and struggling to pay off medical bills as well as funeral expenses while living on a single income. In lieu of flowers, your contributions are greatly appreciated.
