UPDATE 12/13/2023
Last night D had the lumbar puncture at 10:30 pm.The results came back this morning no meningitis or any other infections in the brain. We're not sure why the other hospital said he had a brain infection. We are beyond thankful that D doesn't have a brain infection!! D is being moved from ICU to a regular room today! D is being treated for an Acute Kidney Injury now. D is on antibiotics and fluids to help him recover. D was able to walk with assistance today. D is using the restroom on his own now. Please keep the positive vibes and prayers coming!

Update 12/12/23
Daniel has been battling kidney stones since his first surgery in August. Since he has had complications from the first brain surgery they delayed the procedure. He was released in the beginning of November. The Urologist team was booked until December 7th. On the 7th of December Daniel had lipotripcey that took 3 hours!!!! By the 8th he was in a lot of pain. Daniel slept all day on the 9th. The morning of the 10th Adam had to help him to the bathroom and when he was done walking back with Adam he collapsed. He couldn’t get up he was shaking and was non responsive. Adam called 911 and Daniel was transported to McLeod Seacoast in Little River SC. Daniel was in Septic Shock. Daniel was admitted to ICU. Both kidneys are infected. MRI is showing a brain infection. Daniel was transferred to Medical University of SC NSICU tonight.
Thank you for any assistance you can give.

Updated 10/29/2023

Daniel had to have surgery again yesterday to repair a CSF leak repair.
Everything went good. He found the leak put the patch in , put glue on the patch and dissolving stitches. He cleaned up the tonsil area that was still hanging down a little low to open up for the flow of the fluid. They had to put an external drain in lumbar. Daniel will be in the hospital for 7 to 10 days.

I will be staying in a hotel to work during the day and to be with Danny in the evenings.

If you would like to send Daniel a card with words of encouragement, please send them to: Daniel Taylor PO BOX 1445 Little River, SC 29566

UPDATE
Daniel is having complications from his surgery. Daniel is back in the hospital. Daniel has been in the for week. We are asking for help with travel expenses and hotel accommodation. Any amount is greatly appreciated. We ask that you continue to share.

Our son Daniel was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation Tier one. Daniel will have surgery on August 29th in Charleston SC. The surgery will have Daniel out of work for a minimum of six weeks. Daniel does have short-term disability, this is not enough to cover his regular bills and his medical expenses. We would like to ask if you are unable to help with expenses to show your love and support with kind words and cards sent to Daniel.
