He was born in Middletown, New York to Daniel Lacey Patten and Marion Louise Kneuer.
After his mother's death in 1972 Daniel headed West to attend Cal State Fullerton where he graduated with a business degree. He was a early pioneer in the mobile car detailing business(MotorKar Kleen) in Orange County, Ca. He later opened a brick and mortar store inTustin, Ca called Sparkle Plus. Later he opened up a sun tanning store in Anaheim Hills, Ca called California Fake Bake. In later years he developed a love for photography. That with a love for cars that his father and brother also enjoyed, he began attending car shows and surf competitions. It was a full time hobby. Traveled the West Coast, Arizona, and Nevada. It was a full time hobby that began to reap dividends. With his social security, YouTube, and sponsors, he was able to live comfortably.
People loved him. Everyone he met he became immediate friends with. He knew your name and what kind of car you drove. Dan was very outgoing and had a smile for everybody. Even if you only knew Dan a short time, he made you feel like you've been lifetime friends. He was known as "Locally world famous". If you enjoyed the So Cal culture all you had to do is follow Danolive. Fans from UK, Italy, Europe, South America, and Australia checked in daily. We love and miss my brother and uncle.
We hope the people that did this are brought to justice soon. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, services will be postponed to a later date when it's safe to gather.
