DANIEL'S STORY: TIMELINE AND TREATMENTS

On May 1st, massive swelling and immense pain forced Daniel to seek medical attention due to an abnormal growth on the left side of his neck and face that had caused weeks of sleepless nights. Daniel was taken to the ER and after completing several tests doctors, initially, determined the source of discomfort to be an infection related to a cracked tooth.

In the following days, Daniel and his wife, Rachel, relentlessly sought dental consultations, 2nd and 3rd medical opinions, and holistic remedies in an effort to alleviate the extreme pain Daniel had been enduring, with little success.

The pain had become so crippling that Rachel took Daniel back to the ER, where they repeated tests and ran a biopsy on the affected area.

On June 6th, Daniel and Rachel received the tragic news that he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Anaplastic large cell non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (ALCL)

The cancer has become so aggressive that Daniel has been experiencing trouble breathing, inability to swallow, and has lost over 65lbs in a matter of two months.

On June 19th, after being in the ICU for two days, Daniel started Chemotherapy treatments and will remain hospitalized until he is able to eat and drink again.

ABOUT DANIEL
If you know Daniel you understand that it is very difficult to see him in this state. He is a positive, optimistic, and charismatic individual whose light and humor permeate any room. He dreams big and puts his best foot forward in anything he sets his mind to. Daniel is a man of God, a faithful husband, a loving father, an ambitious businessman, a fearless worship leader, a wonderful son, and a caring brother to many.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
To ensure that Daniel and Rachel can prioritize their focus on his health, we have created a GoFundMe to help Daniel and his family alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with medical bills, and household expenses necessary to care for his wife and five boys during his road to recovery.
Daniel’s treatment plan will span over 18 weeks and include chemotherapy, speech therapy and physical therapy.  Daniel is mentally strong and has a positive mindset along with a strong support network of family and friends.

Your prayers, encouraging words, and support are needed and much appreciated!

God bless you and your families!

“Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus."  Hebrews 12:1
