Daniel Paterson Everest Search and Rescue

My name is Becks Woodhead and I am the proud partner of Dan "Pat" Paterson. Dan's family and I, urgently need your help.

On May 21st, at 4:40 AM, Daniel Paterson successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest— a monumental achievement and a testament to his strength and determination.

Tragically, during his descent, Daniel and his Sherpa Mr. Pastenji went missing, and there has been no contact or sighting of them since.

Dan is not just an adventurer; he is a beloved son, brother, partner, friend and a proud joint owner of Wakefield Crossfit. He is known for his adventurous spirit, his kindness, and his unwavering dedication to helping others. Now, it is our turn to help him. With his passion for Leeds United, we ask that in light of the upcoming play off final; please help us to find him.

Time is of the essence in a situation like this, and we are mobilising every resource we can to locate Dan and Mr. Pastenji. We are hoping to launching a search mission with the assistance of a rescue team specialising in search operations in extreme environments.

Conducting a search and rescue operation on Everest is an incredibly complex and costly endeavour. We are not experts in this, and there is no guarantee of success. We need to cover expenses such as:

Helicopter flights and aerial searches

Specialised search teams and equipment

Communication and coordination efforts

Logistical support and supplies.

We have been advised by Global Rescue, a world-renowned organisation specialising in search and rescue operations in extreme environments, that similar operations cost in the region of £150,000. We are seeking fundraising to ensure we can carry out a comprehensive and effective search operation.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to finding Dan.

It has become apparent that the position regarding the search operation has changed over the course of the weekend.

We have been advised by Global Rescue that, due to the location of where Dan went missing, they are no longer able to assist in the search.

We are in touch with other search and recovery organisations and have received updated proposals. We are currently doing research and due diligence.

We are desperate to bring Dan home, but rest assured we are exploring all options to ensure the donations are used wisely.

We are overwhelmed with the support which remains invaluable during this critical time, and we appreciate your understanding. The generosity demonstrates just how much Daniel is loved and is a reflection of the impact he made on the lives of others.
