On October 20th, 2018, Daniel Rodriguez Obregon suffered a severe accident due to diving into a pool; the accident has caused trauma to his spinal cord at the C6 level and has left him in stable but critical condition at the Intensive Care Unit of Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.
On the day on the accident, Daniel was rushed to the Ryder Trauma Center where he underwent immediate corpectomy surgery in order to decompress his spinal cord. Daniel has spent over two months in the ICU and has been undergoing treatment in order to stabilize his vital organs. Daniel is set to remain in the ICU until he is stable enough to be moved to another area of the hospital where he will begin the physical therapies. Daniel will need months of rigorous physical therapy treatment and will face a long and difficult journey for recovery.
Daniel has always showed us the type of drive and motivation that someone would need in order to overcome an injury of this severity with the challenges he has been able to defeat in his successful professional career. This fund is to help support Daniel and his family through this extremely difficult time.
