Daniel Thacker Injury Treatment

On November 4, 2022, New Palestine Senior, Daniel Thacker, suffered a season-ending and potentially life-altering injury in the Sectional Championship Football Game. The injury to his lower left leg caused a lack of blood flow to some muscles and nerves resulting in a rare, but serious, condition called compartment syndrome. The nerve in his foot has stopped working, compromising his ability to use his foot in the future. While family and friends are praying for the nerve to "wake up" and for full function of his foot to be restored, doctors have prescribed hyperbaric oxygen treatments, a proven method of treating nerves that are not functioning properly. Daniel will receive 40 treatments, 5 days a week. Unfortunately, these treatments are expensive and not covered by insurance.
