Daniel's campaign for Children Waiting Everywhere

Hi Friends,
Anticipating the day of St. James the Apostle July 25, Patron Saint of Spain, and eagerly preparing for my upcoming Camino de Santiago hike, a 500 Mile hike across Spain from St. Jean Pied de Port, France to Santiago, Spain. This is the French Way of the ancient pilgrimage to the Cathedral that houses the remains of St. James/St. Iacobus/Santiago in Galicia. I begin in mid-August and hike through the end of September (!!!!)…
While I'm at it, I hope to make my 500 miles count further towards raising some donations for a charity, if any of my readers would be agreeable to participate in making a difference.
I'm selecting Children Waiting Everywhere, a Catholic and ecumenical 501(c)(3) foundation. CWE was founded by a fellow parishioner, and 100% of the funds go towards their charitable work (the founder has her own income and does not draw from these funds). CWE is particularly focused on the refugees that have fled from S. Sudan and the Congo and are seeking new lives in Uganda. CWE provides their children with schooling and assists them and their families with opportunities to grow small businesses. CWE projects have also included digging wells and building schools, individual homes and a church. CWE has even flown children over to University of Michigan’s famed Mott’s Hospital to perform life-changing surgeries.
For further background reading, another dear friend has given me permission to link her article about this wonderful founder of CWE and their efforts to improve the lives and outlook for these refugees in Uganda.
